We ideally are looking for someone who doesn’t let a detail slip through the cracks, is efficient, willing to learn, and familiar with a wide range of technologies such as Bootstrap, HTML5 and Adobe. Requirements:

College graduate preferred. Experience in:

SEO/SEM Manager

A great website means nothing if we don’t drive traffic to it effectively. Geek Town USA is looking for an SEO/SEM expert to manage our search engine optimization and marketing activities. We’re looking for that individual who’s competitive about driving website growth. That person who looks at stats and says we can do better. You will be responsible for managing all SEO activities such as content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks. You will also manage all SEM campaigns on Google, Yahoo and Bing in order to maximize return-on-investment.

This position is entry-level. The perfect candidate will have lots of knowledge and some experience in SEO/SEM and will be looking to grow their career with us.

Responsibilities

  • Execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
  • Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
  • Manage campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing
  • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
  • Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
  • Research and analyze competitor advertising links
  • Develop and implement link building strategy
  • Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code
  • Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.

Requirements:

  • Proven SEO experience
  • Proven SEM experience managing PPC campaigns across Google, Yahoo and Bing.
  • Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • Experience with bid management tools (e.g., Click Equations, Marin, Kenshoo, Search Ignite)
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM

Social Media Specialist

Geek Town USA is looking for a motivated, driven, Social Media Specialist to join our fast growing company. We’re looking for someone who can take social media branding to a new level using the latest tools, design, and creativity.

Can you create interesting posts and target them to specific audiences? Are you a self-starter? Do you dream about your stuff going viral? Do you have graphic design skills that you can’t wait to show off? Do you spend your free time learning everything you can about the latest social media tools, trends and tech?

The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap.

This position is entry-level. The perfect candidate will have lots of knowledge and some experience in social media marketing and will be looking to grow their career with us.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages the target audience to take action or be otherwise engaged. Content may include polls, games, and other interactive fun.
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
  • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience in social media or related field
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
  • Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, CRO and SEO
  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multi-tasking and organizational ability

Geek Town USA is a full service digital advertising firm specializing in Design, Branding, Web Design and Development. We’re looking for students interested in an internship working with our website design and development team as well as our research and development team.

If you’re a motivated individual willing to work in a fast-paced, fun, sometimes crazy environment, this might be the opportunity for you. The work includes CSS, JS, HTML and Word press development, web design, digital marketing, and graphic design. The job requires a person with exceptional attention to detail, extensive research and project management skills. If this job is for you, you’ll learn new skills in high level web development, web strategy, digital marketing and usability and interaction design. You might enjoy some awesome food brought in for lunch courtesy of our talented staff and a little Friday Karaoke.
